A European native, the name Dill comes from the Norse meaning to lull. Dill tea is supposed to help insomniacs. The green tops of the Dill plant offer a more subtle Dill flavour than the Dill seeds. Used for flavouring seafood such as salmon and trout and sauces like mayonnaise, tartare and salad dressings.
